Sarasota, FL – This year’s Dick Vitale Gala was a true demonstration of community and commitment, where friends, family, and sports legends came together to fight cancer. Hosted at the Ritz-Carlton the Lobdell Family was proud to contribute as the presenting sponsors, bolstering our ongoing commitment to the V Foundation’s vital research.
The event was memorable, not just for the record funds raised but for the deep personal connections renewed and formed—especially with Dick Vitale, whose friendship has been a source of inspiration. Jim Boeheim, along with other dignitaries and honorees like Derek Jeter and Jeff Gordon, added to the night’s allure, sharing insights and support that only deepened our collective resolve.
Having my family there—Noah, Vince, Nancy, and my sister Amy—made the evening even more special. Together, we celebrated the successes and pledged continued support to this cause so close to our hearts.
This gala was a reminder of the power of community and the impact we can make when we unite for a cause greater than ourselves. Here’s to more years of making a difference, inspired by the courage and dedication of those fighting on the front lines of cancer research.
