Today, I’m grateful to share something that has been in the works for some time. A new global business venture aimed at serving a group of individuals who shape the future every single day: our educators.
Alongside my cousin and lifelong entrepreneur, Devin Daly, founder of Impel AI, we are launching ForEdu, an AI-powered platform designed by educators, for educators. This project has been a personal one for us, built on a shared respect for teachers and the burdens they quietly carry. This is a direct response to the voices we’ve heard from classrooms across the country.
ForEdu helps eliminate one of the biggest pain points in education: time.
Educators today are stretched thin. Between lesson planning, grading, paperwork, and supporting students, it often feels like there’s not enough time in the day to focus on what matters most: connecting with students. ForEdu changes that.
The ForEdu AI framework was born from a simple yet powerful question: What if we could combine the best of research-based instructional practices with the intelligence of AI to help every teacher unlock their full potential? I wanted an AI partner, one that thinks with teachers, not for them. A tool that expands their instructional repertoire, sparks reflection, and supports professional growth while promoting deeper learning for both teachers and students. That’s why I chose to collaborate with the team at ForEdu AI. Together, we’ve built a framework that integrates decades of work from The Thoughtful Classroom, our instructional tools, strategies, and educational research, into an AI-powered platform designed to elevate teaching practice. The goal is simple but profound: to foster deeper learning, differentiate instruction, and maximize student engagement. Most importantly, our framework rests on a core belief: teachers are the key to learning, and quality instruction is the vehicle for helping students learn not just what to think, but how to use their minds well. Because ultimately, how you teach shapes how students learn to think.
This platform uses the power of artificial intelligence to generate high-quality, standards-aligned lesson plans in under a minute. What once took hours now takes seconds without sacrificing the personal touch teachers bring to their work.
It goes beyond planning. ForEdu gives teachers the ability to instantly evaluate student writing using rubrics aligned to state standards, including New York. That means quicker feedback for students and more time for teachers to actually engage with them. Supporting not just academics, but emotional and personal growth too.
We’ve had early pilots happening across school districts in Central New York, and the feedback has been deeply encouraging. Educators are calling it “a game changer” for both instruction and well-being. Some have told us it’s the first time in years they’ve felt like they could breathe again.
